The Bushman Crew Are at It Again – New Bushman DF40-HD Drawer Fridge
The Bushman crew are at it again with a new Bushman DF40-HD 40 litre drawer fridge now available, and it is another good option for caravans, campers, motorhomes and 4WD setups where you want a proper drawer fridge without wasting space.
The DF40-HD is a 12V/24V Heavy Duty Series drawer fridge. It has around 35 litres of usable storage inside the drawer and, importantly, it uses the same external dimensions as the Bushman DF30-HD – 310mm high, 440mm wide and 840mm deep.
More Fridge Space in the Same Size
The DF30-HD is designed more as a serious deep freezer. This new DF40-HD gives you more usable space for your everyday fridge items while keeping the same outside dimensions. The temperature range is -10°C to +6°C, so it is primarily a fridge but can also be used as a mild freezer when required. Bushman rates it to maintain approximately +4°C refrigeration in ambient temperatures up to 50°C. That makes a lot of sense for Australian touring. If your fridge is sitting inside a hot canopy, caravan or camper in the middle of summer, it needs to be designed to deal with that heat.
Built for Mobile Use
The DF40-HD uses a genuine Secop Danfoss BD50K compressor, stainless-steel drawer runners, an all-steel slam latch and twin heat-extraction fans.
Bushman also supplies mounting brackets, and the fridge can be flush-fitted into cabinetry. You can even run a DF30-HD and DF40-HD together, either side-by-side or double stacked with Bushman’s stacking kit. That gives you one dedicated deep freezer and one dedicated fridge without taking up the space of a big upright fridge/freezer.
